Back in summer 2003, Julia Reisetbauer inspired her husband to think of this glorious idea. Hans was actually reflecting on the production of vodka. His wife was not very enthusiastic: "Why don't you make a Gin? Yet your favourite late night drink is Gin and Tonic!" Hans Reisetbauer is always open-minded about good ideas! He is thrilled now, that he decided on Gin - Blue Gin. In contrast to vodka production, the production of Gin is a much bigger challenge, more interesting for freaks like Hans. No sooner said than done: Libraries were searched trough in order to find old formulas, plenty of experiments were done, many tastings, a lot was rejected and discussed. But finally, after two years of intensive development work, Blue Gin was born! The company "Blue Gin Handelsgesellschaft" was founded - together with friend and partner Markus Schenkenfelder and - at once - Blue Gin was "on everyone's lips".
